Meet the team

We are a small, well qualified and experienced staff team. As we are all mums ourselves, we can give the pre-school children a caring and nurturing individual approach to their learning and development.
"We look forward to meeting you and your child and hope you will have a long and happy association with Burn Bridge Pre-school. We all work hard to make the children’s days here happy and fulfilling and above all fun!"

"Children flourish in the care of exceptionally warm and nurturing staff, who show genuine interest in their individual interests and needs. Children are immediately drawn to the broad range of stimulating activities which are planned around what they know and enjoy."
" Children's behaviour is exemplary. Staff have clear and positive boundaries that support children to become respectful, helpful members of their community. For instance, they willingly help each other tidy up at the end of the day. They take part in activities that help them understand how others experience the world. Children have exceptionally strong bonds with staff, who understand and welcome their unique characters and routines."
"Staff have consistently high expectations for children to gain key skills that will support their future learning, including when they go to school. Children are highly motivated and demonstrate consistently positive attitudes towards one another and their learning. They confidently ask questions and share their thoughts with staff, who encourage them to express their emotions with the use of the emotions board."

Well established key workers
We operate a successful key worker system where each child has a nominated member of staff. This member of staff will spend time getting to know your child and helping them settle in. This member of staff also fills in the record of your child's progress which they will share with you regularly and we hold parents' evenings once a year for a more detailed discussion. For day to day discussions, you can mention anything you think the staff need to know at pick up or drop off or arrange to see your child's key worker if you need to. We value the partnership between pre-school and home and we have 'I can' slips and observation slips for parents to fill in and contribute to the whole picture of your child's development. We also invite parents in regularly for events and stay and play sessions.
